Teresa Martinez Gonzales

Teresa loves summertime and her favorite thing about her job is seeing all the return guests at the Nantucket Boat Basin where she has worked for many years.  Her favorite thing to do on Nantucket is spend time with her large family. She has many sisters and a father here along with her husband and three children.  She and her husband have been together for almost as long as she has worked at the Boat Basin!  In the off season, Teresa likes to spend her time walking, cooking and sleeping.  She also likes to spend time in her native country, the Dominican Republic, when it gets too cold here on the island.

The best thing about working in the accounting department is interacting with my peers. We all help each other every step of the way and the camaraderie is excellent.

My favorite thing to do on ACK is to babysit. I love the idea of giving parents the peace of mind knowing they have someone reliable to take care of their kids while they relax and  enjoy our many fabulous restaurants and so many other activities our lovely island has to offer.

I do not have family on Nantucket but I do have lots of friends.

In the off season I mainly relax, but I also travel back to Jamaica when I can to visit family and friends.

Cislyn McInnis

Cislyn McInnis

While there are many things I love about my job, the best part is the endless variety and teamwork.  While I absolutely never know what the day will bring, the quality and dedication of my team is fundamental to our success. The enthusiasm for genuine hospitality that we have created here is what makes it such a wonderful experience for everyone.
My favorite thing to do on Nantucket is to go to the beach with my family.  We often go to Jetties on the harborside and spend the whole day.  In the winter we seek out warmer climates. My husband, Eric, and I have two amazing kids that share our passion to travel, so we go as often as possible.

The employees are what I love the most about my job. Every year we have so many people from all around the world working together, and each person brings their own individual personality and culture to the company. Many employees return year after year, and I think that's not just a testament to the great company we work for, but it also speaks to the teamwork and camaraderie that we have within the organization. My wife Cheryl, has also worked for White Elephant Resorts for 20 years and we have two young girls Ayla and Cally.  We love taking our kids to the beach. Cisco beach is a perfect spot to take the kids surfing when the waves are cooperating.  In the off season we travel as much as possible. It also allows you to appreciate living on the island that much more.

There are quite a few things I love about my job! I love the location, my co-workers, the guests and all of the dogs! I get to be on the water, surrounded by boats, good music and I get to see the most beautiful sunsets every night. My co-workers are some of the hardest working people I know and who would do anything to help me. We really have all become a big family at The Cottages. A majority of our guests are returning for 5+ years or more and they love to tell me all of their travel stories and tips! Getting to see all of the dogs that check in is a major highlight as well! In the summer I love going to the beach with my family and friends, having a bbq, enjoying a cocktail or two, dancing at the Muse and enjoying this beautiful island for what it was meant for.  In the winter, after I finish working with the pre-schoolers at NES, I like to take my dog Cooper out for super long walks (if it's not super windy).  My Kiwi husband Jason and our two daughters Ayla and Cally are my family on island, also, all of my friends here are now family.

I have worked in many different cities' and hotels, hands down this is my favorite place. I love the people I work with and how different every day is. In 20 years I have never been bored and that is saying a lot. The people make the job. My favorite thing to do on Nantucket is summer boating to Coatue with my husband and friends. There is nothing like it and I feel like I am on vacation for that moment.  I do not have immediate family here on Island but living here for over 22 years I have built an Island family I cherish.  In the off season I love to travel when I can to my second favorite Island Saint Maarten
