4. Daffodil Festival: The Daffodil Festival is a weekend packed full of spring festivities centered on rejoicing the arrival of the season. Festivities include art exhibits, wine tastings, an antique car parade, a tailgate picnic, a children's parade, a hat pageant, a dog parade, the Daffodil Regional Shows, and many other events. 5. Museums and Restaurants Reopen Doors: By late April most of the island has reopened its doors in preparation of the coming season. However, seasonal island residents are largely still off island so it is much easier to make reservations at sought after Nantucket restaurants and island museums are far less crowded.
6. Wine Festival: For five days every year, Nantucket becomes a wine and culinary destination. Over 3000 attendees flock to Nantucket to experience a full schedule of wine tastings, dinner and lunch pairings, and wine seminars from the tutelage of only the best winemakers, chefs, sommeliers, and presenters.
